Watermelon – Sweet Dakota Rose

This Watermelon is said to be the sweetest open pollinated of all melons. It was crossbred on a farm in North Dakota by David Podoll from the smaller Early Canada variety and the larger Black Diamond variety, yielding a medium-sized juicy watermelon that ranges between 12-18lbs. Whats great about this melon is its adaptability to fluctuating weather conditions, especially to cold influx so don’t be afraid to let it mature on the vine into the early fall.
