Description
Calendula grows quickly and flowers profusely. The flowers of this annual are bright, cheerful, and edible. Blooms from spring to first frost.
Edible deep-orange blooms can be used in a variety of dishes, and can add tang and color to salads, cakes, teas, drinks and more. Calendula also has numerous medicinal properties. Calendula is also a great cool-season cutting flower with straight, sturdy stems.
Sow seeds after the last frost 6 to 12 inches apart in an area that gets full or part sun.
